Mark Broder, owner of Broder Jewelry Design has been hand crafting fine jewelry for over 40 years. Mark is a second generation jeweler, apprenticing for his father in a small shop in San Francisco starting in 1983. He later worked for a custom jeweler in Walnut Creek for 17 years where he became a master stone setter and hand engraver. In addition to working at the jeweler’s bench, he also worked directly with customers designing custom pieces of fine jewelry. He was educated in diamond grading by the Gemological Institute of America.

22 years ago, he opened his own studio at home. His reputation for quality has had retail stores, manufacturers and top designers from around the country consistently seeking his services.

It didn’t take long to outgrow the home studio, so Broder Jewelry Design opened in Brentwood in 2005. Broder Jewelry Design serves the East Bay, East Contra Costa County, Brentwood, Discovery Bay, Oakley, Antioch, Pittsburg, and all of the San Francisco Bay Area. If you are from out of the area, we can design and work with you online as well.

Every custom design is personally tailored to each client. Whether you know exactly what you want or you’re starting from scratch, Mark will use his years of experience to help you through the process. Being creative is only part of the equation. A pretty design that is engineered poorly won’t stand up to everyday wear. We will design and engineer a beautiful piece of jewelry that will last for generations. We use only quality materials. No detail is overlooked.
